Empowering Myanmar Workers Through Free English Classes

At Horizon Asia Educational Association (HAEA), we’re dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through education. As part of this mission, we are excited to announce a transformative initiative: Free English Classes for Hospitality and Tourism! 🎉
This program, specifically designed for Myanmar workers, aims to provide essential English skills that open doors to opportunities in the thriving tourism industry. It’s an example of how education can act as a bridge to better futures.
A Program Tailored for Success
The classes are designed to ensure participants not only learn English but also gain practical skills to thrive in hospitality roles. Key features of the program include:
- Conversational English: Build confidence in speaking and understanding everyday English.
- Hospitality-Specific Vocabulary: Learn key phrases for customer service and workplace scenarios.
- Real-World Roleplay: Practice hospitality situations, from greeting guests to handling inquiries.
The free sessions run twice a week—every Tuesday and Friday at 7 AM—providing a flexible and supportive learning environment.
Meet the Teachers Making It Possible
We’re proud to highlight the incredible volunteers leading these classes.
Cherry Koe
Cherry is an inspiring example of what education can achieve. A former HAEA student, Cherry has come full circle by returning as a volunteer teacher. Her journey from learning English with HAEA to empowering others showcases the life-changing power of education.
Rawane
Hailing from Morocco, Rawane is a dedicated volunteer with a passion for helping others achieve their dreams. Her expertise and compassionate approach bring a unique energy to the classroom, ensuring students feel supported every step of the way.
Together, Cherry and Rawane are creating a learning space where students can grow in confidence and build brighter futures. 🌍
A Vision of Opportunity
At HAEA, we believe education should always be accessible, especially to those who need it most. By providing free English classes tailored to industry needs, we’re helping individuals transition from construction work to fulfilling careers in hospitality.
This initiative is more than just a program—it’s a stepping stone for many to achieve financial independence and career growth in a rapidly expanding sector.
