Supporting Vanisa’s Journey to Higher Education

Vanisa has progressed from no formal schooling to B2-level English — now she’s raising 69,510 THB to reach C1 and prepare for her GED.

Vanisa, 14, is part of an Orang Asli indigenous community in Pos Woh village, Perak, Malaysia, where access to long-term, structured education is extremely limited. She stood out among 87 indigenous students as having the highest learning progress — once walking several kilometers just to reach 4G signal for online classes and to charge her study tablet.

Through HAEA, Vanisa has progressed to B2-level English and is now preparing for her GED in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. Her next step is enrolling at Mee Fah Language School in Koh Tao, Thailand, from February 2026 to February 2027, to advance from B2 to C1 English.

HAEA is raising 69,510 THB (approximately $1,970 USD) to cover Vanisa’s language course tuition, education visa processing, and learning materials for the year-long program.

“I want to improve my English so I can continue my studies and support myself in the future.” — Vanisa
