Our Partners
HAEA delivers its programs through partnerships — organizations that provide space, expertise, or local reach in the communities we serve, from a hostel classroom in Koh Tao to indigenous-community NGOs in Malaysia.
Current partners
- Wonderland Jungle Hostel (Koh Tao, Thailand) — HAEA’s operational base in Thailand; hosts the weekly in-person English classes and currently houses two students completing their GED. wonderlandkohtao.com
- Mee Fah Language School (Koh Tao, Thailand) — delivers ESL certification and language courses for HAEA students, including Vanisa and Nazira.
- Perak Women for Women (PWW) — Ipoh, Malaysia — co-delivers the Happy Readers literacy program and the Human Rights Workshops; hosts a device-donation point at its Ipoh office.
- SUKA Society — Malaysia — delivers teacher-training courses, including the program that trained Tira, now HAEA’s Education Coordinator.
- Koh Tao Swim — Koh Tao, Thailand — sponsored swimming lessons for HAEA students.
- Mojo Divers — Koh Tao, Thailand — sponsored scuba certification courses.
- Divessi and Badass Monkies — Koh Tao, Thailand.
What partnership looks like
Partnerships range from shared physical space (Wonderland Jungle Hostel’s classroom), to co-delivered programs (PWW, SUKA Society), to sponsored services (Koh Tao Swim, Mojo Divers, Mee Fah). Each partner brings something HAEA doesn’t have on its own — a location, a credential, or local trust — and HAEA brings volunteer teachers, materials, and funding.
For CSR managers and organizations
If your organization wants a concrete, traceable way to fund education in Southeast Asia, there are three direct options:
- Fund a program — Sponsor one of HAEA’s six program areas (see /programs/) for a term or a year, with reporting back on the students it reaches.
- Donate devices — Used laptops and tablets go directly to HAEA’s Digital Education program for students in areas with limited connectivity; ship to our Ipoh or Koh Tao drop points.
- Staff volunteering — Send employees to teach or mentor, in person at Wonderland Jungle Hostel or remotely over Zoom, through our volunteer program.
