Building a Better Tomorrow: Human Rights Workshops by HAEA (Austria) and PWW (Malaysia)

Aug 31, 2024 | News

The Horizon Asia Educational Association (HAEA) is proud to announce the success of our recent Human Rights workshops, conducted in collaboration with NGO Perak Women for Women in Malaysia. These workshops were designed to teach children essential values such as equality, freedom, and justice, providing them with a solid understanding of their rights.

Engaging Workshops on Human Rights

Our founder, Valerie Johnstone, worked closely with the team to develop interactive presentations that were both engaging and easy for children to understand. Using visual aids and relatable examples, even complex concepts were made accessible. A special touch of science was added to make the lessons even more intriguing and relevant to young minds.

Workshop Highlight: Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) of Harmoni Flat Buntong

One of the standout moments of this initiative was the special workshop held for children from the Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) of Harmoni Flat Buntong. The children’s enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were palpable as they engaged in discussions about human rights. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants proudly received certificates of completion for the “Understanding Human Rights” course—an important milestone in their educational journey.

The Power of Collaboration

The success of these workshops highlights the power of collaboration and the role of education in creating a brighter future. HAEA remains dedicated to empowering young learners with the knowledge and skills needed to stand up for their rights and make positive changes in their communities.
