Arts and Design Classes for Kids and Young Adults
The Horizon Asia Education Association (HAEA) is excited to share the success of our arts and design classes, led by our dedicated volunteer teacher, Magui. Held at the Wonderland Jungle Hostel, these classes are designed for kids and young adults from Myanmar, Thailand, and Malaysia. They offer a creative outlet and essential skills to our students, empowering them through education.
Spotlight on Student Success: Wak Jenny’s Journey into Fashion Design
One of our students, Wak Jenny from Malaysia, has discovered a profound passion for clothes design through these classes. Inspired by her enthusiasm and talent, we at HAEA are committed to supporting her journey. We will be providing Wak Jenny with a second-hand sewing machine, various fabrics, and other basic necessities. Our goal is to enable her to continue honing her skills and to help her pursue her dreams in the world of fashion design.
Magui’s Innovative Teaching Approach
The arts and design classes cover a wide range of topics, from basic drawing and painting to more advanced techniques in design and craftsmanship. Magui’s approach to teaching is interactive and engaging, encouraging students to explore their creativity and express themselves through various mediums. The supportive environment at Wonderland Jungle Hostel allows students to learn, create, and grow together.
Fostering Creativity Beyond Traditional Academics
These classes are part of HAEA’s broader initiative to provide comprehensive educational opportunities that go beyond traditional academics. By integrating creative arts into our curriculum, we aim to foster well-rounded development and inspire a lifelong love for learning.
The Impact and Future of HAEA’s Arts and Design Program
The impact of these classes is already evident. Students are more confident, expressive, and eager to explore their creative potential. For Wak Jenny, this opportunity has been transformative. She is now dreaming of becoming a professional clothes designer, a goal that seemed distant before but is now within reach thanks to the resources and support provided by HAEA.
This initiative is a testament to the power of education and the importance of nurturing individual talents. HAEA remains dedicated to empowering children and young adults through innovative and inclusive educational programs.
