Restaurant ESL Classes for Thai Children and Young Adults

Mar 30, 2024 | News

The Horizon Asia Education Association (HAEA), a volunteer-driven initiative committed to empowering underserved communities through education, is delighted to introduce our new initiative: Restaurant ESL classes for Thai children and young adults. Launched in March 2024, this program is specifically designed to support those who are helping their parents in the restaurant business or who dream of opening their own restaurant one day.

Customized Curriculum Designed by Marketing Advisor Kevin

Recognizing the unique needs of these young learners, our Marketing Advisor, Kevin, has meticulously designed the curriculum to focus on English language skills relevant to the hospitality and restaurant industry. These classes are held every Sunday at Wonderland Jungle Hostel, providing a supportive and interactive learning environment.

Empowering Students with Practical Language Skills

The Restaurant ESL classes aim to equip students with the essential vocabulary and language skills needed to excel in a restaurant setting. From taking orders and interacting with customers to understanding menus and handling transactions, the course covers a wide range of practical scenarios. This targeted approach ensures that students can immediately apply what they learn in real-life situations, boosting their confidence and competence in the workplace.

Expert Instruction Enhancing Learning Outcomes

Kevin’s extensive experience in marketing and hospitality adds significant value to the program. His hands-on teaching style and real-world insights help students grasp complex concepts easily. Each session is designed to be engaging and interactive, with plenty of opportunities for students to practice speaking, listening, and comprehension skills.

Immediate Impact on Students and Community

The impact of these classes has been immediate and profound. Students have shown remarkable improvements in their English proficiency, which has translated into better communication with customers and enhanced service in their family businesses. For those aspiring to open their own restaurants, the skills gained from these classes provide a strong foundation for future success.

Supporting Community Growth and Personal Development

The Restaurant ESL program exemplifies HAEA’s commitment to providing relevant and impactful education that empowers individuals and supports community growth. By focusing on the hospitality industry, we are helping these young learners acquire skills that are crucial for their personal and professional development.

HAEA is incredibly proud of this initiative and the positive feedback from participants. We remain dedicated to expanding our educational programs and reaching more children and young adults across Thailand. Our goal is to continue providing opportunities that foster growth, self-sufficiency, and success.
