Marketing & Digital Fundraising Adviser

Kevin is our Marketing & Digital Fundraising Advisor, as well as part time volunteer, who brings years of marketing expertise to Horizon Asia Educational Association. His role is crucial in promoting our initiatives, expanding our reach, and securing grants that make our digital fundraising efforts virtually cost-free. With Kevin’s strategic approach and deep understanding of digital advertising and non-profit grants, he helps us carry out our mission more effectively and efficiently.

Maria (Magui) do Canto

Volunteer Teacher: ESL, Arts, and Computer Skills

Magui is a passionate volunteer teacher who brings her diverse background in interior design, theatre, and the arts to Horizon Asia Educational Association. Her creative skills and technical knowledge have been invaluable in teaching ESL, arts, and computer skills to our students from Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. With a deep love for travel and global cultures, Magui is committed to fostering a learning environment that embraces diversity and inspires creativity. Tira, a dedicated local girl, is an essential part of our team at Horizon Asia Educational Association. As the Education Coordinator, she excels in organizing classes at our location and managing activities for the children in the village. Volunteer Teacher: ESL

Maroezka is a dedicated volunteer teacher with over 20 years of experience in Hospitality and Tourism. Her extensive background has allowed her to engage with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds, which has shaped her ability to thrive in multicultural environments. Maroezka’s passion for helping others improve their English language skills led her to join Horizon Asia Educational Association (HAEA), where she volunteered at Wonderland Jungle Hostel. She creates engaging, adaptable lessons that make learning English both fun and accessible for our students from Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. An avid traveler and adventure seeker, Maroezka’s open-minded approach brings a fresh perspective to every class, inspiring confidence and curiosity in her students. Her contributions have made a meaningful impact on their learning journey.
